Rates
This site gives you some information about the rates for my services.
Translation rates - general
I usually charge on a per-word-basis, with prices starting from €0.18 per word of the English or Portuguese source text.
My rates depend on various factors, such as urgency, technicality of the text, total volume, one-time translation vs. ongoing project, etc.
Rates for other services
Proofreading and DTP services are charged at €75 per hour.
Surcharges
I add a 20% surcharge for PowerPoint presentations as well as .pdf files and .htm/html (.php, .xml) pages.
Payments
After the completion of your project, I will issue an invoice, which is to be paid within 15 days net. My standard payment method is direct bank transfer to my German bank account. Alternative payments methods are checks, Paypal, Skrill (Moneybookers) or Bitcoins.
Please note:
1. For larger translation projects and translation agencies a discount is negotiable.
2. A minimum charge of €35 applies for smaller translation projects.
3. The rates stated above do not include VAT (only applicable to clients within Germany or European clients without a VAT number).
